Battery Powered Drum Tilt Control
Model 285A-BP - Full Drum Capacity 1,500 Lb., Half-full capacity* 750 Lb.
battery powered drum tilt control forklift karriers Model 285A-BP forklift attachment provides 180 degree
battery powered controlled tilt to fully invert your drum in
15 seconds. The 10 foot (3 m) long pendant reaches to
the forklift operator, and has two push buttons to tilt the
drum forward and back.

The tilt function is powered by a rechargeable 12V deep cycle
battery. Battery and charger are provided with the forklift
attachment. The drum holder has cinch chain and ratchet
tightener to secure the drum in the holder.
Manual Drum Tilt Control Fork Lift-Karriers
Standard models have pull chain and chain wheel for manual drum tilt control from seat of fork truck. Pull chain loop
is 20’ long with 10’ drop. Hand crank drum tilt control options are also available. Further information about options

set to achieve 60:1 ratio for high capacity, fine drum tilt control.
Standard model has pull chain and chain wheel for tilt control
from fork truck. Ship dimensions: L 40” W 29” H 24” Model
285A-HD shown with Option X01-285HD Hand Crank with
gear covers and MORStop Tilt-Brake to automatically prevent
unwanted drum rotation. Handle 55 gallon steel drum. Use

285A/E-HD has E14 Fiber Drum Strap. Use with appropriate
size 55/30 Series Adaptor for fiber or steel drum.

Heavy-duty Kontrol-Karrier for plastic or steel drum has
a bracket to prevent plastic drum from slipping in holder
(shown below).

ECONOMICAL DRUM MOVING AND POURING
Forklift-Karriers 285 Series (Model 285A shown)
Just drive truck forks into the Karrier’s fork pockets and drive to drum at
ground level. When the drum holder meets the center of the drum,
dismount and screw down safety locks to grip forks, then secure the
drum by cinching the binder (shown below). Raise the carriage and
travel to dumping location. Without leaving the seat, pull the chain
loop for complete control of drum tilting. Model 285A-BP, provides
a two-button pendant for battery powered drum tilt control. Tilt drum
for dumping then rotate drum back to upright position. Drum can be fully
inverted or controlled for desired rate of pouring. Fork Lift-Karrier
detaches quickly, freeing the truck for other jobs.

55/30 Series Diameter Adaptors for smaller drums allow
you to handle multiple drum sizes with same drum handler. Simply
and quickly place into and remove from the drum holder.
Adaptors for 17.5" diameter and smaller have adjustable
hold-down brackets for up to 38" tall drum.		 Three-Piece Drum Holder is designed to fit only
a 55-gallon steel drum. It does accept specialized
diamter adaptor part # 55/30-19GR for 19"
30-gallon steel drum.

available. Metals such as monel are substituted
for drum holders, etc. Stainless steel cinch
chain and brass pullchain can replace steel
chains. The letter “M” in the model # designates
spark resistant parts made of monel. Models:

wheel and 20’ pull chain with 10’ drop for high level

tilting from an unbalanced drum or from weight shift
within a drum. The braking is immediate and
self-actuating, without additional steps by the user.
