One man can now
lift 500 lb. loads up to a maximum height of 20 ft. in two
minutes or
less. This can be done with the Model 520 Lift. This unit
is equipped with guy cables,
outrigger bars, and adjustable wing-screw levelers with sturdy
rubber feet to stabilize
the load. If used on bare ground, wood blocks should be placed
under casters and
levelers. To move the unit on hard surface, simply raise the
rubber footed levelers
slightly to allow the swivel casters to turn freely.
Where intermediate
heights are desired, the 520 model is quickly converted to
a 16,
15, 14, 11, 9 or even a 5 ft. lift, either by removing or
replacing the proper post sections.
Other post sections shown on back page provide for intermediate
heights..

Both
outriggers are equipped with
two U- clamps. Each U-clamp is
secured to the base with a single
screw and wing nut. |
After
the post sections are slip-fitted together
on the ground, two men can easily set up the
Model 520 Lift in upright position. The
outriggers and the guy cables are then quickly
attached. |

This
two-handle winch (with 1 to 9 gear ratio) can boost up 500 lb.
loads faster than
10 ft. per minute. Wherever the operator chooses to halt the
load, a self energizing
brake automatically takes over, locking the load securely in
position. Reversing the
right hand control handle releases the brake, allowing platform
to descend under full
control. Anti-friction needle bearings provide smooth operation.
Corrugated rubber
handle has a dual function: Besides being a convenient handle
to move the entire lift,
it also serves as a handy roller when pushing the lift into
a truck. |

By
using an adapter, which fits all 1/2" or larger electric
power drills, the lifting speed
can be increased to over 20 ft. per minute-to save both effort
and time. The speed
given above is based on using a 6 1/2 ampere (450 RPM) electric
drill operating at
full load speed of 275 RPM and lifting a 500 lb. load...An adapter
is furnished with
each lift. |
